This is the third and final review of new taco joints in the Shoals during the quarantine/mask era. We had tried Taco Garage previously and weren't that impressed, but gave them a second chance for our Taco Wars series.
Unlike Crazy Little Chicken, Taco Garage has a real drive-thru, but is anyone manning it? I accompanied Hubs to pick up our order and had to wait for an employee to come to the window, then wait quite a while longer for our order that had been placed 20 minutes before.
Our order? Even though we had ordered different sides, the two orders were the same. I've got to say the food was nevertheless delish. I'm not sure even Taco Mama can beat their steak tacos and the chicken tacos are very good.
Price? Hubs ordered quite a bit, but I was surprised that it came to over $40.00. We barely got any chips. I suggest you order extra chips and salsa if this is a basic part of your meal.
By the time we finally got our food (already paid for), the line behind us was long, but it was at dinner time. I'm not sure what's wrong inside the store, but someone isn't doing a great job in processing these orders!
Next, we'll announce a winner of out Quarantine Style Taco Wars!
