Several months ago I set out to rate the three newest/most popular taco joints in Florence. I took hubs along to give his opinion as well. Together we rated Taco Mama, Taco Garage, and El Pollito Loco. Here are the results:
Parking: El Pollito Loco - While this isn't that important in a lockdown mode, EPL won hands down.
Location: EPL and Taco Mama tied. Taco Garage is just not centrally located.
Ambience: Again not that important now, but another tie with EPL and Taco Mama leaving Taco Garage far behind.
Value for Money: Taco Mama. EPL came in a distant second with Taco Garage trailing the pack.
Quality of Food: Taco Mama was again the winner with EPL coming in second and Taco Garage Third.
Service: Same again - Taco Mama was the best followed by EPL and Taco Garage.
Most Likely to Close: EPL is the only local store in the mix, making it the least financially stable. Taco Garage is a larger chain than Taco Mama, but just doesn't do as much business, making it come in second in this category.
THE WINNER: Taco Mama is the best all round taco joint in the Shoals! El Pollito Loco is a distant second, with Taco Garage so far behind that it's just an afterthought.
