It seems for everyone who loves Fizz, there's someone who hates the bar/club/eatery. From a few days closure in August 2021 to a nine-month closure that stretched from October 2023 until June 2024, the Sheffield establishment has often left its die-hard fans in the lurch.
This week, Fizz announced still another closure. Its press release indicates that the next re-re-opening will be in May at the earliest if all goes well. Anyone for a tiddlywinks tournament to fill in the days?

Fizz has fizzled. The bar and grill located in the Clarion Inn on Hatch Boulevard in Sheffield has been reported to be iffy for some time. Its last Facebook post was from 2022.
Fizz offered live music, but some criticized the quality of the entertainment, as well as the food. Those who live in nearby residential areas often reported the business for violation of noise ordinances. Nevertheless, we're sure that at least some will be sorry to see the bar closed for good.
Given the location, Sheffield can expect a new bar to pop up soon. Or perhaps a cafeteria will fill the vacant space; our readers often lament the lack of a casual self-serve eatery in the area.
