Newk's is a sandwich shop out of Mississippi with a growing number of followers. According to its home page, all slots for franchises in both Mississippi and Alabama are filled. That could change as the eatery grows, but as for now Huntsville and Decatur will remain the closest to the Shoals.
There's a second reason you may not see a Newk's anytime soon. Currently, the franchise wants owners with at least 750K in liquid assets, plus 750K in non-liquid. Obviously, that leaves many would-be restaurateurs out in the cold.
