Blue Coast Burrito

From their website: Drive north on Highway One from Cabo San Lucas and you’ll come across a little stretch of white sand known as “Playa Costa Azul,” a.k.a. “Blue Coast Beach.” Here, where the Pacific meets the Gulf of California, people from all over gather to eat Baja’s famous fish tacos, listen to the rhythms of Mexico and surf some of the best waves in the world!

At Blue Coast, we try to bring as much of that experience as we possibly can. We can’t bring the sun and the surf, but we do our best to bring you the freshest, finest West Coast-style Mexican food available. We’re talking about build-your-own burritos, fish tacos, fresh-made salads and much more. Shortcuts are not part of our vocabulary…we do it the right way, every day. Come in and taste the difference for yourself!

Does a fish taco sound good to you? Then you may be the ideal customer for our local Blue Coast Burrito. This is a good alternative to fast food and certainly better than Taco Bell.

I've eaten here several times and haven't found much fault with them.  They are located inside a small shopping center with plenty of parking nearby.  There's no outside seating which would be nice if not getting takeout.

The choices are standard: burrito, quesadilla, taco, etc, and you fill in the toppings.  All I've really tried is the veggia burrito, consisting for rice, beans (black or pinto), veggies, peppers, cheese, pico, olives, onions, guacamole, and salsa.  Or a quesadilla with similar makeup.  The portions are somewhat large as well.  The taste is good, what you expect, nothing amazing that is going to floor you, but I personally like it better than say Chipotle, because there is more flavor to the food.

It is a la carte for everything, and you go down the line and pick what you do/don't want on your tacos, burritos, salads, etc.  It's like the Subway of Burritos!  They have kid's meals which is really nice, but these don't come with a drink. Water is free.

There is also a salsa bar where patrons can help themselves to a number of different salsas--some spicy, some not.  All were delicious!

The workers seem friendly, albeit this location seems to have a high turnover rate.  All in all, this is a good lunch/dinner place if you feel like having quick Mexican food.
