The Dodge Brothers building on North Court Street in Florence has been home to several businesses in the past century. As of late last year, it has housed Mugshots Grill and Bar, a small chain specializing in burgers and related all-American fare.
Does the Shoals like Mugshots? No, we're going to go with local diners absolutely loving the newest addition to downtown dining. We can't think of any Shoals eatery achieving 95% good/great reviews...until now.
Here's just a few posted by Facebook readers:
* The food was fantastic!!! I had the cheese wedges and A1 Steak burger with fries. My buddy said the egg rolls were to die for! I’ll definitely be back!
* I’ve only been there once.. there was three of us having lunch. The Pow Pow Shrimp was fantastic for the appetizer !!! I enjoyed the Parmesan burger and fries !! The burger was cooked with perfection !! The fries were hot and crispy !! Our server's name was Tanisha. She was extremely polite and accommodating. Five star rating in food and service !!
* We ate there Saturday night. Our server, Jaci, was phenomenal! We had the fried pickles and fried mozzarella. Our party of seven ordered Da Big Kahuna Burger, wings, kids' fried shrimp basket, the Southern Burger, and a Philly. It was all delicious!
* Mahi sandwich is great! Bun is awesome. Great food, very quick for opening week. Went Wednesday for lunch last week
* Amazing!!!! I’ve been 3 times. Menu is extensive but so far everything I’ve ordered has been fantastic!! Service is top notch as well!! Perfect for downtown!
* We ate there yesterday and it was so good!! I was sceptical since it’s only been open for two weeks but literally so good and the service was GREAT!
* Parmesan burger was a little greasy, same as Philly. Fries were really good. We will be back just to try different menu items.
* I'm not writing a full review, but the Mac and cheese burger is excellent, and so were the southwest rolls.
* The Rotel dip we got for an app was too thick and I'm not big fan of the fries.
We noted the remarks about the fries, Rotel dip, and Parmesan burger. Now that Mugshots has been open for two months, we look forward to seeing even better food and service. Send us your latest reviews, and we'll update.
